This book is a compilation of thoughts, rants, emotional wreckage, and growth painstakingly built word by word over forty years.
 
It is the love letter I have written to myself, and to every soul who has supported, shaped, and uplifted me through the ebbs and flows of life. It is also a reminder of all I've survived and how far I've come. This is the culmination of my regrets, defiance, and triumphs in the face of all that has threatened to dim my light.
 
Take a journey with me…experience my first love and my first heartbreak; the paths I’ve walked and the dreams left unrealized; every time I have had to rebuild myself from thousands of broken pieces, and each rebirth from the ashes of fires I could not escape.
 
I hope that these poems and stories resonate with you. I pray that you see yourself within the lines, and learn something about yourself as I lay my soul bare. And I implore you to revisit these expressions of truth whenever you are feeling lost, alone, or inadequate if for nothing else than to see your worthiness through the eyes of a stranger.
